U.S. Marines Get New CH-53K King Stallions Helicopters

Sikorsky, a Lockheed Martin company, has delivered two additional CH-53K King Stallion heavy-lift helicopters to the U.S. Marine Corps after completing formal U.S. Navy and Marine Corps acceptance testing. Announced on January 28, 2026, this delivery confirms another step in the gradual replacement of the aging CH-53E Super Stallion fleet with a more modern and capable heavy-lift platform. Built in the United States, the CH-53K is designed to improve Marine Corps expeditionary logistics with greater lift performance, enhanced mission systems, and increased survivability for operations in contested environments.
