At World Defense Show 2026 in Riyadh, Türkiye’s state owned defense company Makine ve Kimya Endüstrisi (MKE) presented three key systems addressing current land air, and naval operational requirements.
In this video, Ali Hakan Safak, Director of International Marketing and Sales at MKE, discusses the company’s priorities at WDS 2026 and outlines the capabilities of the TOLGA short-range air defense system, the BORAN 105 mm lightweight towed howitzer, and the PIRANA unmanned surface vehicle.
TOLGA is designed to counter low altitude threats such as drones and loitering munitions through a layered architecture combining sensors, electronic warfar,e and kinetic effectors. BORAN provides mobile artillery support for light and airborne forces with rapid deployment and extended firing range. PIRANA addresses asymmetric naval warfare requirements as a high-speed unmanned surface platform with strike capability against surface and coastal targets.
The video also highlights MKE’s broader objectives in the Middle East including industrial partnerships local production and technology transfer initiatives discussed during World Defense Show 2026.
