On 13 November 2025, EDGE Group and US-based Anduril Industries unveil Omen, a new Group 3 autonomous drone at the core of a UAE-US production alliance in Abu Dhabi. With an initial order of fifty systems, the UAE is tying Omen directly to its future force structure and to a growing local defense industrial base.
Omen is a compact vertical take-off autonomous air vehicle that transitions to forward flight, can be deployed by a two-person team without a runway, and uses an open architecture for ISR and communications payloads. Networked through Anduril’s Lattice for Mission Autonomy, multiple drones can share data in real-time, extend the sensor grid over maritime and land approaches, and feed a common operational picture back to Emirati and allied C2 nodes.
