Armenia Drills With Iran’s Majid SHORAD and India’s Akash Air Defense System

Highlighting the country’s growing focus on a diversified and layered air defense network.

During recent exercises, Armenian Air Defence Troops operated the Iranian-made Majid short-range air defense system, locally designated “Karich,” alongside the Indian Akash surface-to-air missile system, known as “Lusan” in Armenian service.

The joint appearance of both systems provides a new look at how Armenia is integrating Iranian and Indian air defense technologies to strengthen protection against a range of aerial threats.
