China has launched its 2026 military training cycle with large-scale joint exercises highlighting some of the People’s Liberation Army’s most advanced combat systems. Newly released footage shows how Beijing is integrating air, naval, missile, and unmanned forces into a single high-intensity combat framework. This short video focuses on the DF-17 hypersonic missile seen on road-mobile launchers during simulated launch procedures, a system designed to fly above Mach 5 and strike targets at ranges of up to 2,500 km while evading missile defenses. The drills also feature J-20 fifth-generation stealth fighters, unmanned ground and aerial platforms, and the Type 055 guided missile destroyer Nanchang, a 12,000-ton warship armed with up to 128 vertical launch cells for air defense, anti-ship, and land-attack missions, underscoring China’s push toward full-spectrum joint warfare.
