DIMDEX-2020 Cancelled due to COVID-19

DIMDEX 2020 organization made a shocking announcement at official website that “Following the cancellation of a number of global events including the Mobile World Conference in Spain, ITB in Germany and the Geneva International Auto Show, the DIMDEX 2020 organising committee has been consulting with public health officials and the Government of the State of Qatar regarding the status of the event.”

“After extensive consideration, the organising committee has made the difficult decision to cancel the event. Though the risk to the general public in Qatar remains low, our primary concern remains the health and welfare of all residents and visitors to Qatar and for this reason the event will no longer be held.” officials added.

Because of the pandemic spread of coronavirus, such international organizations and multinational exercises are under threat of cancellation. As we shared before, India has decided to pospone MILAN-2020 multilateral exercise which was scheduled between 18-28 March.

Meanwhile, the Doha Film Institute also canceled the Qumra mentoring program due to COVID-19.
