At LandEuro 2025 in Wiesbaden, Germany, U.S. defense manufacturer Moog showcased its Flexible Mission Platform (FMP™), a modular turret demonstrated with Thales 70mm laser-guided rockets. Designed as a platform-agnostic system, the FMP enables rapid integration of weapons and sensors on any combat vehicle, trailer, container, or naval installation.
In an exclusive interview with Army Recognition, Jason Weiss, General Manager of Moog Land & Sea Systems, highlighted how this solution supports NATO supply chain resilience while addressing the growing challenge of drones and loitering munitions.
The FMP’s design allows armed forces to tailor their configurations for multiple missions, anti-drone, air defense, or anti-armor, without the need for unique turret architectures. Its lightweight structure, optional stabilization, and seamless electronic interfacing reflect Moog’s broader expertise in motion control, naval launch systems, and aerospace flight controls.
By combining flexibility, modularity, and interoperability, Moog positions itself as a central player in modern land and air defense.
