Hellenic Navy conducts “Anapnefstir” ASW Exercise

The Hellenic Navy successfully conducted national Anti-Submarine Exercise “Anapnefstir” (means Snorkel) from 12 to 22 February at the southwestern Aegean, Hellenic Navy announced on 25th February at official website.

According to the Hellenic Navy General Staff, all of the submarines, frigates and helicopters of the Navy participated the exercise as well as US Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA).

The exercise was conducted in the scope of the Hellenic Navy’s annual operational training program, with the aim of maintaining and enhancing operational readiness and combat capability of naval assets with an emphasis on anti-submarine warfare.
