At MSPO 2026 in Poland, Israeli defense company Plasan presents advanced combat vehicle armor designed to counter some of today’s most dangerous battlefield threats.
Army Recognition takes a closer look at LAPS, a mine-blast protection system integrated into energy-attenuating seating; TAPS add-on armor for top-attack threats; Hybrid Slat Fence (HSF) composite armor against RPGs; and ATHENA, a non-explosive reactive armor designed to defeat shaped charges, RPG warheads, EFPs, and kinetic threats.
These technologies aim to increase crew survivability while limiting additional vehicle weight and preserving mobility, visibility and operational effectiveness.
