South Korea Rolls Out First Production KF21 Boramae Fighter Jet

0

South Korea has officially rolled out its first mass-produced KF-21 Boramae fighter, marking a critical step toward operational deployment within the Republic of Korea Air Force (ROKAF). Developed as a next-generation multirole aircraft, the KF-21 is designed to replace aging F-4 and F-5 fleets while enhancing air defense, beyond-visual-range combat, and rapid response capabilities.

The KF-21 features a twin-engine configuration, an Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar, advanced avionics, and an integrated electronic warfare suite. These systems improve situational awareness, target tracking, and survivability in contested environments. With supersonic performance and reduced-observable design elements, the aircraft bridges the gap between legacy fourth-generation fighters and stealth aircraft already in service.
