0

At Eurosatory 2026 in Paris, Defense Web TV interviews Roshel CEO and Founder Roman Shimonov about the company’s latest armored vehicles and how battlefield lessons from Ukraine are shaping the next generation of protected mobility.

With more than 2,500 armored vehicles delivered, Roshel explains how operational experience against drones, mines, and artillery has directly influenced the development of its newest vehicle family, focusing on survivability, ease of maintenance, and rapid production.

The interview features the Senator MRAP, built on the Ford F-550 chassis, offering high levels of ballistic and mine protection while supporting multiple mission configurations, including troop transport, medical evacuation, remote weapon stations, and counter-drone operations. Roshel emphasizes its ability to manufacture up to 16 vehicles per day while keeping maintenance simple through extensive commercial parts commonality.

Also unveiled at Eurosatory 2026 is the all-new Roshel Captain, a lightweight armored vehicle based on the Ford Ranger Super Duty platform. Available in pickup and armored personnel carrier configurations, the Captain offers a payload of up to 1.5 tonnes, simplified logistics through shared components with the Senator family, and easy integration into military fleets thanks to its commercial architecture and worldwide Ford service network.

The interview also covers Roshel’s growing presence in Europe and its strategy to provide cost-effective, combat-proven armored vehicles that reduce lifecycle costs while increasing battlefield readiness for armed forces and security agencies.
