Exhibitors and visitors will be welcomed into the Defence and Security Equipment International (DSEI) 2021, one of the world’s premier defense industry events, starting tomorrow. The expo will be open until the 17th of September, according to the schedule.

The main theme of DSEI this year is Integrated Response to Future Threats, with a particular emphasis on Multi-Domain Integration, according to the organization. The recent publication of the Integrated Review by the United Kingdom Ministry of Defence has re-emphasized the importance of effective inter-force collaboration, as well as the impact this has on current and future platforms.

DSEI 2021 will be held both in-person in London and online. However, while DSEI will be a live event in London, for those who are unable to attend in person due to Covid restrictions, the DSEI Connect virtual event platform will allow them to participate fully from their homes or other locations.

Mr. Sadiq Khan, the mayor of London, has once again expressed his displeasure with the event and has requested that it not be held in his city, claiming that his city was home to many people who had fled from other countries because of weapons such as those on sale at DSEI.

In 2019, approximately 200 protesters blocked a road near the centre of the city where the gun fair was being held, demanding that the event be called off.
