At DSA 2026 in Malaysia, Türkiye’s defense company MKE presented a full-spectrum portfolio covering artillery, counter-drone systems and naval unmanned capabilities. This video highlights three key systems shaping current operational trends.
The BORAN 105 mm lightweight howitzer is designed for rapid deployment and high mobility. Weighing around 1,700 kg, it can be deployed, fired and repositioned in under one minute, with a firing rate reaching 12 rounds in 40 seconds. Its automated fire control system improves accuracy and reduces engagement time.
The TOLGA counter-unmanned aerial system addresses evolving drone threats through a layered defense approach. It combines AESA radar detection, electronic warfare jamming, and hard-kill capabilities using 35 mm, 20 mm, and 12.7 mm weapons. Additional effectors include lasers, microwaves, and rockets with ranges up to 8 km, all coordinated through a centralized command system.
The Pirana unmanned surface vessel introduces a naval strike capability based on swarm tactics. Equipped with a 100 kg explosive payload, it is designed to target critical areas of ships such as propulsion systems. It can also deploy loitering munitions to disable sensors and radar, reducing the target’s defensive effectiveness.
These systems illustrate current shifts toward mobility, automation, and multi-domain integration in modern warfare.
