The state trials of the Belgorod nuclear submarine, which will serve as a carrier for Poseidon underwater drones, as well as the Novosibirsk and Knyaz Oleg nuclear submarines, will be completed by the end of this year, according to Sevmash CEO Mikhail Budnichenko on Friday, Russian TASS agency reported.

“These subs must go to sea several more times for factory and state trials before delivery. As of right now, all operations on the boats are according to schedule. The ships perform admirably and meet or exceed their standards”Budnichenko expressed.

In addition, he stated that the Sevmash slipway will not be empty after the submarines are put into service.

“This year, two more submarines were launched, the Dmitry Donskoy and the Knyaz Potyomkin, both of which are part of the Borey-A programme. They bring the fleet of strategic cruisers now under construction in the shipyard’s hangars to a close. In addition, we are continuing to work on multipurpose submarines. We make every effort to ensure that the building is rhythmic “The head of the shipyard stated this.

He pointed out that the Krasnoyarsk multifunctional nuclear submarine (Yasen-M Project) was launched this summer, and that the Kazan, the project’s lead ship, was commissioned this spring, both of which are significant milestones. He stated that this year was one of the most intense in the last 20 years.
